Going back to school
September 26, 2018
We may be renowned for designing beautiful kitchens in people's homes, but one recent project had a different brief - it was for the Bishopshall boarding house at St Leonards School in St Andrews. The house wanted to have a 'home from home' feel and our designer Louisa, along with Amy Schellenberg chose a Callerton kitchen in Balham, flat painted shaker framed door in Kelp and Sage topped with Silestone worktops. Contemporary appliances were added, including a Quooker UK tap. Because it is a full functioning school the whole work had to be completed in the summer holidays. The result is a stunning kitchen, which the students - and staff - just love! Sarah Proudfoot from St Leonard's School said of the kitchen: "It is a welcome and versatile space for our students, a selling point for our visiting prospective parents and really is the hub of our newly refurbished boarding house." No better praise than that!
