Bancon - Kinion Place, Aberdeen
The brief
Set against a backdrop of green fields, Kinion Place is one of the new housing developments in Aberdeen located on a hillside between Newhills and Craibstone. The development is comprised of 13 different house types, requiring 13 different kitchen designs featuring a mixture of kitchen/dining and kitchen/dining/living spaces. The homes themselves are contemporary in design with many bespoke features and a sophisticated feel. An 'All Inclusive' approach to the design was required as the client wanted everything to be included from the beginning.
Solution
Available in a selection of matte, gloss and concrete finishes, Contino handleless furniture from Leicht was used in each of the 13 designs. The colour schemes for each design were based on a neutral and contemporary palette. Matching laminate worktops and backsplashes incorporated to provide contrast and texture, while recessed under unit lighting to provide sufficient task and ambient lighting. Siemens built in iQ500 cooking and refrigeration appliances were included as standard, ensuring there were no client extras, in keeping with the 'All Inclusive' approach for each house type.
